Excellence in Child Mental Health, held in conjunction with Excellence in Paediatrics, is a novel conference in the field of child mental health aspiring to present an authoritative overview of key developments in child mental health and enable specialists to stay ahead in their field. While the Conference will be officially inaugurated in December 2011, a stand-alone, pre-launch event on Child Mental Health will take place as a 1-day meeting on the occasion of Excellence in Paediatrics 2010 in London on 3rd December 2010.

Always scheduled on the same dates and venue as Excellence in Paediatrics, the conference follows a two-fold approach to cover both the child psychiatrist and the general paediatrician by providing the opportunity to delegates of both events to attend a number of selected “common” sessions.

In addition, Excellence in Child Mental Health envisions a series of web initiatives, targeted at creating an international community of specialists “attached” to the Conference. Such initiatives include on-line interviews with distinguished speakers, e-surveys, on-line Self Assessment Tests etc.

In the long-term, Excellence in Child Mental Health envisages generating a fund that could be used for international education and research related to child mental health.
